Q. The lead song "Glitch Mode" carries a unique idea that "compares the notion of a heart experiencing too much love to a computer error". What was your impression when you first heard the song, lyrics, and concept?
(타이틀곡 'Glitch Mode'는 너무 큰 사랑을 경험하는 마음을 컴퓨터 에러에 비유하는 독특한 컨셉을 담고 있잖아요. 맨 처음 이 노래와 가사, 컨셉을 접했을 때 어떤 느낌이 들었나요?)
A. That was the first time I learned the word "Glitch"! The word fits well with the song and concept, and I remember thinking that it was a good fit for the album's title song.
- 그때가 제가 'Glitch'라는 단어를 처음 알게 된 때에요! 그 단어가 노래나 컨셉과 잘 어울려서 앨범의 타이틀곡으로 잘 어울린다고 생각했던 기억이 나요.
Q. In your performance on this song, what do you think is the coolest part, or the bit where you would like people to focus on?
(이 곡의 퍼포먼스에 있어서 가장 멋지다고 생각하는 부분이나 주목해주길 바라는 부분이 있다면?)
A. The vocals. I paid attention to the pre-chorus. I still wanted to make that part interesting while leaving some extra room to focus on my vocal portion.
- 보컬이요. 프리코러스 파트에 집중했거든요. 그 파트를 보컬적으로 여유있으면서도 재미있게 만들고 싶었어요.
Q. What kind of new growth or change do you think NCT DREAM has made with this album?
(엔시티 드림이 이번 앨범을 통해 어떤 성장이나 변화를 겪었다고 생각하나요?)
A. This album reciprocates the love you gave to us when we released "Hot Sauce", and at the same time, we wanted to prove that we deserve that much love. Together with the members, I wanted to communicate with all the people who supported the album production and make something really cool. I think that the unity of the team has deepend, including every member's individual skill level.
- 이 앨범으로 [맛(Hot Sauce)] 앨범 발매 당시 팬분들께 받았던 사랑을 보답함과 동시에 우리가 그런 큰 사랑을 받을 자격이 있다는 걸 증명하고 싶었어요. 멤버들과 함께 앨범 제작을 지원해주시는 많은 분들과 소통하며 더 멋진 앨범을 만들고 싶었어요. 멤버들 개개인의 스킬 수준뿐 아니라 팀의 단합력도 더 깊어진 것 같아요.
Q. From your own subjective standpoint, what do you think is the best part of this album?
(객관적인 시각에서 봤을 때, 이번 앨범에서 가장 좋은 부분은 무엇인가요?)
A. I think the way the title is expressed is good. I enjoyed relating the theme of "buffering" in a straightforward manner.
- 제목의 표현 방식이 마음에 들어요. '버퍼링'이라는 주제를 직접적인 방식으로 다룬 게 좋았어요.
Q. What performances from other members made you shout out "cool!"?
(멋지다고 생각한 다른 멤버의 퍼포먼스는 무엇인가요?)
A. I thought that JENO and JI SUNG's dance break was really cool and good.

Q. This question is associated with the concept of this project's "tech" mood! Within yourself, what parts do you think are high-tech, and on the contrary, what do you think of yourself as analog?
(이 질문은 이번 앨범의 '테크' 분위기 컨셉과 관련된 건데요. 스스로에 대해서, 어떤 부분이 하이테크적이고, 또 반대로 어떤 부분이 아날로그적이라고 생각하나요?)
A. I think that my usual lifestyle is that of a high-tech person. Thanks to my little lazy habits, I seem to use it in order to manage living comfortably. On the other hand, when I perform on stage, I feel analog. These days, it's hard to meet up in real life, so I spend a lot of time online. But it also really made me miss meeting everyone in-person.
- 제 평소 라이프스타일은 하이테크에 가깝다고 생각해요. 저의 약간 게으른 습관 덕분에 편안하게 살기 위해 그런 것들을 이용하는 것 같아요. 반대로 무대에 설 때는 아날로그라고 느껴요. 최근에는 실제로 팬분들을 만나기가 힘들어서 온라인으로 많은 시간을 보내고 있는데 여러분을 직접 만나는 게 너무 그리워요.
Q. Have you had any events that made you think, "I bugged out like a computer!"?
(최근 사건 중 '컴퓨터처럼 버그가 걸린 듯한' 느낌을 받은 사건이 있다면?)
A. When I sang my first OST, I had a lot of trouble. I usually sing any song with my own style, but on that OST song I hid my personal style and tried to create a sensibility that suits the song. At that moment, I felt something like a bug.
- 제 첫 OST를 부를 때 어려움이 많았어요. 저는 보통 어떤 노래든 저만의 스타일로 부르곤 하는데, 그 OST를 부를 때는 제 스타일은 지우고 곡에 맞는 감성을 만들고자 했어요. 그때 버그에 걸린 듯한 느낌이 들었어요.
Q. When do you feel like "This is something I can definitely do this correctly, and I am confident that I will not fail!"?
('이건 내가 확실히 잘 할 수 있는 것이며, 실패하지 않을 자신이 있다'고 생각이 들 때는 언제인가요?)
A. I love my singing voice and songs. I think if I am able to love that about myself, so will everyone else. This is where I have confidence.

Q. What technology can you not live without?

A. Video games. Playing games has a great healing effect for me.

Q. If you're getting ready to go out with a lot of energy and a fashionable look during the spring, what kind of clothes do you want to wear and where do you want to go?

A. I think spring is the season when my favorite bucket hat suits me best. If I'm going out, I'll wear a bucket hat and go to see the cherry blossoms.
- 봄은 제가 좋아하는 버킷햇이 제일 잘 어울리는 계절 같아요. 버킷햇 쓰고 벚꽃 구경하러 가고 싶어요.
Q. What kind of outwear do you like for spring?

A. A riders jacket. I think it's a good season to wear a riders jacekt.

Q. What kind of dream would you like to have if you could sleep as much as you like on a pleasant spring day?

A. Actually, I don't really like dreaming, but if I dream, I like to dream of oversleeping on a spring day. Just listening to "Spring Day Morning Sleep" makes me feel better and makes me feel happy.
- 사실, 저는 꿈 꾸는 걸 별로 좋아하지 않지만 꿈을 꾼다면 봄날에 잔뜩 자는 꿈을 꾸고 싶어요. '봄날의 늦잠'이라는 말을 듣기만 해도 기분 좋고 행복해져요.
Q. In this season many people start a new lifestyle. Is ther something you have recently started or are thinking of starting?
(이 계절엔 많은 사람들이 새로운 생활을 시작하곤 하는데요. 최근에 시작했거나 시작을 생각하고 있는 게 있나요?)
A. I have started reading again. It's been a long time, so it's tough, but I'm working hard.

Q. What do you imagine when you hear the word spring?
(봄이라는 단어를 들으면 무엇이 떠오르나요?)
A. Cherry Blossoms. It is the most famous flower for spring and I think it is beautiful.

Maturity also means leaning into individual strengths and self-discovery. For vocalist Haechan, this was of particular importance. "I think it's important to show each of the member's abilities and their personalities," he says. "We're positive the fans already felt that we seven members worked well together in our first album. In the second album, we wanted to show that each member has their own ability for vocals, rap, and performance and they've developed."

Haechan gave props to his fellow vocalists Chenle and Renjun for stretching their ranges. "We showed more high notes while singing and were able to pull that off very well," he says, smiling. "And apart from us, different members who are usually rapping or focused on performance participated in the vocals as well."

GQ: If you had any advice to offer yourselves for that time, what would it be?

A: I'd like to tell myself to enjoy those moments a little more, and to continue improving while making sure to reflect back on myself.
- 저는 그때의 저에게 그 순간을 조금 더 즐기고, 스스로를 돌아보며 계속해서 발전하라고 말하고 싶어요.
GQ: Looking back at the almost 6 years you've spent together as a group, do you have any particular favourite memories that spring to mind?
(그룹으로 함께 한 거의 6년이란 시간 중 기억나는 특히 좋았던 기억은?)
A: I remember our concerts the most. When we prepare for a concert, we get to work together with several individuals. During that whole process, our focus was on creating a concert that's truly ours, and it made me realize how much I've grown as we worked towards creating that.

GQ: Finally, is there anything you're really looking forward to in the future?

A: I am really looking forward to going on a world tour with our NCT DREAM members. It's what I want to do and look forward to the most.
